I love this pattern. As a confident beginner I found it easy to follow and the YouTube instructions were great ! There is so much amazing advice in the video please watch it if you’re buying the pattern. I learned so much about silk (although I used satin) and the tips were super helpful, I feel like I learned so much by doing just this one dress. And I am so in love with the result it might my favorite thing I’ve ever made. Also I thought it would take me a week to do the project I was able to complete it in three days. So happy, I’ll be making at least two more of these to gift to friends. I will definitely buy more from this shop 🩷
The pattern alone is great and seems to be made well, but my main issue comes with the instructions format. While I appreciate and enjoy having a video tutorial I do still prefer to have written instructions with the pattern just because you never know what will happen with videos in the future. Additionally this pattern specifically is made to have lace in mind, which is a little misleading given the drawing has no lace. It just makes it a little challenging since without the lace there are no hemming instructions for everything the lace otherwise covers, so you have to sort of figure things out on your own. I like the dress itself, but I think the instructions leave a bit to be desired.
